Test

You are the World

Completion, Good Reward.

The World is the final card of the Major Arcana, and as such represents saturnian energies, time, and completion.

The World card pictures a dancer in a Yoni (sometimes made of laurel leaves). The Yoni symbolizes the great Mother, the cervix through which everything is born, and also the doorway to the next life after death. It is indicative of a complete circle. Everything is finally coming together, successfully and at last. You will get that Ph.D. you've been working for years to complete, graduate at long last, marry after a long engagement, or finish that huge project. This card is not for little ends, but for big ones, important ones, ones that come with well earned cheers and acknowledgements. Your hard work, knowledge, wisdom, patience, etc, will absolutely pay-off; you've done everything right.

Motivating Myself

Wow. Yes! I did it! I woke up at 6:30am today. Hahaha!

Don't scoff. If you know how difficult it is for me to fight the urge to keep myself buried in my comfortable sheets every morning, you'll also appreciate the gravity of this feat lol!

So now what do I do with a suddenly leisurely amount of morning in my hands? Well, blog for one. And here I am doing that now. In a while I'll be cooking some breakfast. Because of this habit of waking up late, I haven't been able to eat nice, filling breakfasts regularly. I always settle with hot tea and bread from the kiosk in our office building. Suking suki na nga ako dun e.. hehehe. But today I have time to defrost and fry up some bacon and hotdogs. Wheee! Hooray for early morning starts! Yun nga lang baka bukas late na naman ako gigising ~_~

Yesterday wasn't the best of days for me. Got plumped down into a meeting first thing in the workday, as in kakarating ko lang ininform agad ako that I have to attend this meeting. My gash! Ni hindi pa ako nakakasuklay hahaha. So I kept smoothing down my hair, trying to tame the chaos down while my Japanese coworker was informing me of the meeting. Hahahaha! Yan ang tinatawag na poise!

Anyway, like I said, it wasn't the best of days for me yesterday. And it really showed. Damn, I really had difficulty holding discussions with my project teammate. Walang kabuhay-buhay! He probably noticed I wasn't in my full element. Good thing toward the end of our meeting, I was already caught up in the momentum and could crack jokes again hahaha! Yes, cracking jokes is important in work meetings. I don't like it when everything is so serious. My face gets all fidgety trying to keep a serious face to match the atmosphere. Yun nga lang, pinipili ko rin yung meetings na nagpapatawa ako. Shempre, depende rin yan sa kameeting mo hehehe.

I was really struggling for motivation yesterday. I had to find the things that kept me going again; it seems there are days that I lose them. I found it's important to allow yourself to congratulate yourself on your accomplishments. It's one of the things that can fuel our drive to keep moving forward. If we downplay the importance of the things that we've done, no matter how small they are, then time comes when we start questioning what everything we're doing is for. Misplaced modesty can be very harmful to our goals.

Anyway, I think I've recovered today. I really hope I've got my perk back. There's so much to do and I need all the energy and motivation I can get.

Widget Testing

I just wanted to try this out. It's something from 30 Boxes that organizes your photos into a calendar format. Thomas Hawke describes more concretely how useful this widget can be. Personally, I guess I'd use this to create a sort of photo diary, although I think I'd have to be more active in taking pictures than I am now to make it interesting enough.

To WoT Fans

I haven't been reading fantasy books for around a year now, what with being assigned in Japan and having minimal access to affordable English books. And I haven't been keeping up with the Wheel of Time releases for longer than that. I'm so out of the loop with regards to WoT right now that it's only recently that I heard about Robert Jordan's condition. According to his letter to Locus Online, he has been diagnosed with amyloidosis, and by now is already undergoing treatment.

I DO hope that he recovers and, just as he spiritedly says in his letter, go on to live for thirty more years and more.
